A Friend Home

This is a home near Petersburg, Virginia that was once owned by a FRIEND ancestors. It was used as a headquarters for the 18th Army Corps during the Civil War by Coll. Bvt. Lt. Col. George A. BRUCE of the 13th Regt., of New Hampshire of the Volunteer Infantry. The photo was take ca. 1890. This photo was in the archives of the U. S.
