John Willis Friend was the son of George Washington & Mary (Brock) Friend & the brother of James Alexander Friend. John is the 4th great grandson of Nils Larsson (Frande) Friend. He was born in 1857 and died 6th of January 1947. John married a Jerusa Fulks and they had three daughters; Erslis, who married Amos Eagle, Callie who married a Mr. Thompson & Ida who married Jim Case. After Jerusa died, he later married Martha (Collison) Friend on 9th of November 1900. She was born on 25th of October 1872 and died Kanawha Valley Hospital, West Virginia on 12th of June 1931.
