We are pleased to announce the next book in our series on the Friend Family

Joseph Friend, Sarah Green
and Their Descendents
of
Friendsville, MD

by
Patty (Friend) Thompson
and
Patrick T. Smith

Joseph Friend was the fifth son of John Friend Sr. (1728 to aft. 1808). Joseph Friend married Sarah Green about 1795 and together raised seven children. Joseph Friend and Sarah Green and their descendents have left an indelible impression on Friendsville and Garrett County.  This book is the promised continuation of Patty (Friend) Thompson’s “John Friend Sr. of Friendsville, MD”.  This reference book is comprised of over 376 pages, fully indexed and presented in an outline format. We should point out that three of Joseph and Sarah’s sons were only briefly outlined in this book. Andrew Coleman Friend, Josiah Green Friend, William Edmundson Friend and their children will be featured in greater detailed in three separate books. The authors openly welcome and encourage any additions and/or corrections to this information. The authors can be contacted through the Friend Family Association of America (FFAA) at Friendsville, MD or by e-mail through the FFAA web-site (www.friendfamilyassociation.org ).  The initial cost of printing the book has been donated to the FFAA.  Proceeds from the initial copies and reprints produced by the FFAA will go to the FFAA (a non-profit organization).  All book sales are tax deductible. Each book in the initial offering will be signed by the author.

Black and white spiral bound copies can be purchased for $40.00 (plus $10.00 S&H) or a CD at $30.00 (plus $5.00 S&H).  The CD contains a color copy of the book in a PDF format (requiring Acrobat 7.0).  Earlier versions of Acrobat can open the text, but not all the images.
